Analytics in Manufacturing Survey
Data driven decision making has always been at the heart of engineering and manufacturing. We set out to answer three main questions in this report:
- Are executives in manufacturing companies aware of the benefits of (or potential returns from) business analytics deployment?
- Is there a case to be made for small and medium sized manufacturers (SMM) to benefit from the data acquisition explosion, which is one of the triggers for analytics adoption?
- What are the immediate areas of application for SMMs, or the so called ‘low hanging fruit’?
