Businesses have realized that data need not be a burden or drudgery but actually be used as an asset. In the 21st century, businesses will compete on how they use data rather than simply on what they produce and sell.

Analytics is the enabler that can convert data to assets. However, broad deployment of analytics is not possible until it is transitions from the realm of super-users (experts and consultants) to business users (analysts and managers).

Who we are

SimaFore was established with the express objective of helping businesses find the right tools for the right problems to convert data into information assets. 

Our team shares a common vision - to help businesses remove the complexity involved in applying and deploying analytics. To make analytics accessible and affordable to anyone who has data.

Bala (BR) Deshpande

DeshpandeDr. Deshpande's has 19 years of experience in using analytical techniques. His first exposure to predictive models and analytics was in the field of biomechanics - in identifying correlations and building multiple regression models to predict muscle forces based on electrical activity in muscles. He began his career as an engineering consultant at EASi Engineering, following which he spent several years analyzing data from automobile crash tests and helping to build safer cars at Ford Motor Company. He has been instrumental in promoting information theory based analytical techniques for a range of applications from performance measurement in organizations to predicting patient stability in ICUs. He holds a PhD in Bioengineering from Carnegie Mellon and an MBA from Ross School of Business (Michigan). 

Terry Flood

Terry Flood SimaFore

Mr. Flood has 30 years of experience in finance and technology solutions.   He began his career with TRW in the DoD-focused technology industry and has  worked in the software industry as well as the management consulting industry with KPMG and Deloitte focusing on process flow and ERP system evaluation and implementation.  Most recently, Mr. Flood was CEO of Logicalis, Inc.   He was one of the first executives to join the Logicalis team where he began as CFO and over the next 11 years led the company through multiple acquisitions and growth initiatives that positioned it as one of the largest and most respected enterprise solution providers in North America.  In 2011, CRN (www.CRN.com) selected him as the industry CEO of the year.  Mr. Flood is a CPA and a graduate of Western Michigan University.  He is a member of the AICPA and the Michigan Association of CPA’s.

Prakash Shrivastava

Prakash ShrivastavaDr. Shrivastava has more than 30 years of experience in application of analytical methods that spans several engineering disciplines. He was involved in modeling and simulation of automobile brake and steering control systems and hardware-in-the-loop simulation for GM. He has applied analytical methods in decision support systems in fields such as plant location analysis and optimization of product development processes. Working with senior executives, he has faciliated development of mathematical models of strategies and processes leading to better decisions using "what-if" analysis and simulations. He holds a PhD in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton and a Masters in Technical Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic.

Sital Shah

Sital ShahMr. Shah has spent over 15 years as a structural analyst in the automotive industry. In that time he has developed and implemented engineering solutions. His area of interest is in practical application of analytical data for the purpose of delivering value to customers. He graduated with a degree in Aerospace Engineering from Kingston University (UK) and an MBA from the Eli Broad School of Management (Michigan State).
