SimaFore was established with the express objective of helping businesses find the right tools for the right problems to convert data into information assets. (If you haven't signed up for receiving updates on our automated visTASC tool which helps you take the first step, sign up now)!
Our team of experts come from different backgrounds but the analytical techniques each have applied in their experience have several common threads: using data to understand cause and effects, building models to simulate systems or processes, and using a combination of analytics tools for forecasting. Our team shares a common vision - to help businesses remove the complexity involved in applying and deploying analytics. To make analytics accessible and affordable to anyone who has data.
Bala (BR) Deshpande
Dr. Deshpande's has 19 years of experience in using analytical techniques. His first exposure to analytics was in the field of biomechanics - in determining the link between electrical activity in muscles and the forces they generate. He then moved on to building mathematical models of joints and predicting the long term effects of stress fractures using these models. He spent more than a dozen years analyzing data from automobile crash tests and helping to build safer cars at Ford Motor Company. More recently he has been instrumental in promoting information theory based analytical techniques for a range of applications from performance measurement in organizations to predicting patient stability in ICUs. He holds a PhD in Bioengineering from Carnegie Mellon and an MBA from Ross School of Business (Michigan).
Dr. Shrivastava has more than 30 years of experience in application of analytical methods that spans several engineering disciplines. He was involved in modeling and simulation of automobile brake and steering control systems and hardware-in-the-loop simulation for GM. He has applied analytical methods in decision support systems in fields such as plant location analysis and optimization of product development processes. Working with senior executives, he has faciliated development of mathematical models of strategies and processes leading to better decisions using "what-if" analysis and simulations. He holds a PhD in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton and a Masters in Technical Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic.
Mr. LaRose spent 20 years in the media intelligence industry, covering traditional, digital and social media. He has extensive experience in operations management, process improvement, market intelligence and business development. Applying evidence-based business analysis, Mr. LaRose assists firms in creating and capturing value by enabling clarity and focus on their business model. He holds an MBA from Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, is a certified project manager (PMP-PMI) and has completed studies in six sigma, business valuation and financial risk management. He is currently preparing to write the CFA Level 1 exam.
Mr. Shah has spent over 15 years as a structural analyst in the automotive industry. In that time he has developed and implemented engineering solutions. His area of interest is in practical application of analytical data for the purpose of delivering value to customers. He graduated with a degree in Aerospace Engineering from Kingston University (UK) and an MBA from the Eli Broad School of Management (Michigan State).
